Urbanized Bottling Plant
The Brewery District of Copenhagen is increasingly gentrified. What used to be large, industrial brewery facilities - copper vessels, steam engines, giant boil kettles, stainless steel everywhere
- is now turning into high end studio apartments, creative spaces, and who knows what.
TAP1 is a former bottling plant of the Danish brewery Carlsberg transformed into a spectacular concert and conference venue.
Living up to the highest standards, perfect location, a capacity of more than 6000 people, and excellent acoustics, TAP1 will attract large audiences, international artists, and all sorts of
conferences.
Tap1 is a commercial enterprise with strong cultural ambitions. The ambition is to create a unique framework of industrial spectacularity, this way, TAP1 is a refreshing melting pot of
commercial and cultural events.
e-Types was asked to make a logotype complementing both the commercial and cultural aspects of the venue and as the name refers directly to the industrial heritage so does the design.
Jens Kajus, Creative Director at e-Types, explains:
"The place has an omnipotent industrial feel to it. When you enter the TAP1 you can't help imagining the millions of bottles distributed from this building through several decades. We wanted to
keep this heritage apparent in the typeface while suitable for both creative and corporate events."
