Art, Art, Art
e-Types develops a new visual identity for The Danish Arts Council that pays tribute to art that goes against the grain of society.
The Danish Arts Foundation, The Danish Arts Council and The Danish Arts Agency are moving to new offices. To mark the event, e-Types was asked to design two separate
identity programs for The Danish Arts Foundation and The Danish Arts Council establishing firm boundaries between them and the parent organization, The Danish Arts Agency.
Because of the similarity between the institutions, applicants, press and public have often found it hard to discern between them. The new identities are designed to establish firm and unique identities, creating greater clarity for immediate stakeholders and public alike.
The Danish Arts Council's identity is built up from an abstract form convening on a circle representing the council convened. One of the elements is designed to stick out and appear out of place, upsetting the overall harmony of the design. Likewise, a lot of the art that the council supports goes against the grain of society, creating new statements, new art forms and new relationships.
